Good news from the University of Chicago Press. They have secured the reprint rights for all of the Parker novels through Firebreak. The next batch of reprints (March 2011) will be Butcher’s Moon, Comeback, and Backflash.
Lawrence Block has introduction duty on Butcher’s Moon. Great choice.
Hey Trent, thanks a lot for turning me on to the Parker contest – I won.
Maybe I can donate some of that booty to ur excellent site for future giveaways.
Matt.
Congratulations! And mighty generous of you to offer up part of your prize to other readers.
If you’d like to share the wealth, I’m sure we can find a good home for any doubles you have. E-mail me at the Contact Me link on the sidebar and we’ll nail down the details.
that’s terrific news. i was wondering about Butcher’s Moon.
That is awesome news!
Now if they can only get the rights to the Grofield novels as well…boy those are expensive and hard to find.
Unless plans change, they won’t be reprinting the Grofield novels.
This is a great day and great news. Only Backflash was out of print i saw after Butcher’s Moon.
I can finally read all the books.
I didn’t know this until I recently saw the links on Amazon for Flashfire and Firebreak coming in August. It’s too bad that they couldn’t reprint the remaining 4 to complete the series all in the same format. I was planning to move on to the Grofield novels after finishing Parker but like Luke said, they are $$$$$$$. Certainly thankful for all the work UoC Press has done though!
