Oops! Twitter news roundup post and a personal note

OK, I knew the gadget that rounded up the news from Twitter each week was broken, but I didn’t realize how long it had been broken. I just installed a new gadget. We’ll find out if it works on Sunday. In the meantime, here’s what you missed if you don’t obsessively follow the Twitter news feed.

That should keep you busy for a while.

I suppose this is as good a time as any for me to announce that I’m looking for work. I’ve been on a contract gig for close to two years, and that contract just ended. I knew it was going to end eventually, but I was hoping to get into the new year and past certain complications (selling a house and the holidays, for starters) before looking for work in earnest. That has been taken off the table.

That is a good part of why we’ve been slow around here lately, but not the only reason–some other minor but time-consuming things have come up as well. But do not fear–we have plenty in the hopper. I just need the time and concentration to put the fnishing touches on some draft posts and get ’em up.
