The official release date for the second batch of University of Chicago Parker reprints (The Mourner, The Score, and The Jugger) is May 1, but according to Amazon, they are shipping already.
Batch number three (scheduled for August, which I guess means June or July) will have forewords by Luc Sante.

I just received my copy of Richard Stark’s “The Jugger” through Amazon.com, and to my great surprise, found that the first 40 pages or so (including the title page and copyright page) are from “The Score”. The rest of the book, after page 38 of “The Score”, is pages 37 – 211 of “The Jugger”.
Bizarre!!! Has anyone else gotten one of these?
I’ve emailed the U of Chicago Press and asked if they knew about this error, and how common it is.
(Should I put my mis-bound copy into safekeeping until I auction it off on e-Bay for thousands? Ha ha.)
Thank you for the heads-up, Jolie. I’ve used your comment in a blog post to make sure people know about the problem. I also have an e-mail in to the University of Chicago Press, and will post an update when they get back to me.
